In other profession sports, cheating is rewarded with full team disqualifications, removal of previous wins and even monetary fines. If it works for the NBA, NFL, NHL, and others, why not paintball?

My first approach would be to simply double wire the solenoid: Run two conductors up what looks like a single strand heavy gauge line, branch one into the chip, one into the solenoid. From there there are all kinds of methods of hiding the connection. If you don't know what you're looking for (And haven't disassembled the entire electronics package to trace the paths to confirm function) then all you're going to see is a normal looking solenoid connection with a branch into the chip. A third party day-of add-on package means I don't get to mess with it. An official straps the package onto my marker and turns it on before I step onto the field. No time to screw with it, no time to do anything that can change how the data is actually being read. | |
