Think of it like a new model of car. First year bugs. Tippmann hasn't really tried to make a marker quite like this one. They'll take the feedback on it and improve it and work out the bugs.

This marker basically has two markets: tippmann diehards, and players who might currently use speedballish type markers and are looking for a backup mech for rainy days. I think the pricing (if the $450-ish price rage winds up being correct) will probably slim that down to just tippy diehards.

I agree to a point but I think it's just as much to appeal to the guys they weren't reaching before. Even though it might not be as AGG as the usual crop of tourney guns, there are bound to be speedballers out there who can see the value of an electro that can instantly convert to a mech.

Except that for all intents and purposes, this is a Phenom in a different body. There's really no excuse for bugs in anything at this point, it's a tried and supposedly proven system.

I'm gonna wait on passing judgement until I see a production version, because aren't preproduction runs the stuff thats supposed to fix those last kinks?

What I was using WAS the production version. If they would of shipped me some prototypes to beat up that would of been a different story.....

I'm sorry, I guess I was confused since I figured that everything that was out in the hands of people pre-release would be considered pre-production
