I laughed when i saw that too. Put a $600 red dot sight on it that looks straight into the back of your hopper, that has Milsim written all over it.

Meh, saw it. Bolting crap onto the gun to make it look cooler. Now if it were functional upgrade then yeehaw. Otherwise pfffft.

But now you can take it in the woods. We all know if it doesn't have rails all over it, it can't possibly function in a woodland environment. The product looks neat but I am kind of against adding things just forcthe sake of looking like a real gun, simple is good.

Lets be honest, Is there anything on a milsim marker other than a reddot, that is a functional upgrade? I've done the milsim thing, and I say no.
All the stocks, folding bipods, rail grips, etc, are all pretty much cosmetic, and do nothing to improve the marker. They just add a bunchnf useless weight. And make the marker more cumbersome.

With regular paintballs, definitely not much. Rail mounted foregrips (i.e. vert grips) yeah for some folks (not me). Rail covers- hell yeah, non-radiused edge picatinny rails can tear up gloves something quick. Stocks- just as much as a tank (and they weigh less) provided they are dropped enough to clear the mask.

Definitely not digging this marker though.

The marker or the upgrades? Because the marker itself is actually pretty sweet.

Very good point. I was more spefically referring to the kit.

I'd only say no to the marker 'cause it's not my style (double finger trigger).

Not a fan. It honestly looks a little cheap.

tell me if im the only one thinking this about the kit... and sights in general...

step 1) buy etha (other marker can be substituted)
step 2) learn to properly shoot newly purchased marker accurately
step 3) dont buy useless whiz-bangs and doo-dads
step 4) spend saved money on women of the evening and adult beverages. much better investment.

I think we are all missing the point. Atleast they are still directing paintball into the woods. Somewhere there is a kid waiting to buy this kit. Atleast it's an offered upgrade.

Basically you are getting two guns in one (Woods and Speedball). Just add or subtract attachments. I wish more companies would do this. GOG would make a butt load of cash if they sold different style bodies for their guns. However they don't, which is kind of sad. They have an almost perfect platform.

This is a good sign that companies are finally realizing where their "BREAD and BUTTER" is coming from. The Etha is like the ION, cheap and will probably be massed produced and put into the hands of many "NEW PLAYERS".

Honestly I have a RED DOT on my BT4. Yep worthless as HELL, but looks good and looks expensive. Only cost $12. The kids like it and that's what matters. Whoever I sell the gun to will enjoy it more than I.

I only see this kit as a step forward in accessories and personal choice. I hope more companies follow this example.

Later,
Blackrain
