Nice feature set and some good mounting options, but it would appear to be priced out of its market.

Would have liked to see it bluetooth sync with anything running iOS 4, not just the iPad. That's one of the handy features of the newer Contours - being able to check the alignment on a Smartphone, prior to recording.

My wife got me a GoPro HD Hero 2 for my birthday at my request. The features of this just don't stack up well against the GoPro. It has a range of resolutions and framerates, comes with a collection of different mounting options, and can go underwater. And it's $40 less. I could understand if this were a $250 camera, but it's not.

i don't like microSD, i've had them fail on me, which is an expensive setback. i can understand the size advantage against regular sd cards, but i would still prefer sd cards any day. until then i won't get the r7 sadly.

it is lighter than the contour by far...but it is a lot more expensive...

Did anybody notice the carbon fiber barrel on the crossover and the fiber front grip? New upcoming product from R7?

Ehhhh...
Got some neat features but I'm not quite floored by it.

I know more is in the works from R7 USA. Greg is being pretty hushed about them right now.

I would have preferred a barrel mount vs a hopper mount. In an age where everyone loves a low profile marker, why would you lead with a feedneck mounted adapter and show pics on markers with some extremely long feednecks. That doesn't appeal to me.
