Yep! $100/person! $1100.00 is still way too much for an event IMO

Still only two teams are shown as registered for Chicago. For some reason I think they will be getting a refund. That's unless miraculously a bunch of teams sign up.

They'll probably just let a bunch of teams play for free again...

psp might only be a one day affair but when you have 6 or 7 guys on the roster, it gets cheap quick... my team did the maths and figured that it would cost each player, at most, $300. but that included, entry, paint, hotel, gas and renting a van to get up to chi-town from dallas.

I live an hour from dc but my thing is lets say by chance the team i was on wanted to play the dc open. Lets even say we had the money for the first event. We wont have the money to travel to the next event which is where? Las vegas right? Its not really the sign up thats killing me its the insulary costs after thr fact. If sign up were cheaper tho than hotel. Travel to their and what not would be easier to manage. I mean im not even on a pump team. I dont think theres enough pump interest around here. But its just hard basically knowing youl never be able to afford to play a real tourny.

what happened at HB was a slap in the face to the pump community. just a couple of years ago, when the economy was in the dumps, the pump community created a buzz at HB with sold out division and great comraderie in the pits. but NPPL really took the pump community for granted and treated it as a ca$h cow.

you can tell by the participation this year that the community has spoken. though $1100 is a move in the right direction, but seriously its too little too late. NPPL needs to do some soul searching and get back to being a league for the players.

$1,100 for an entry! I'll say it again, the teams are getting ripped off. Sorry guys but that is way to much money to spend. Then to let teams play for free at one event is basically an insult to those who paid.

I don't know the whole facts, but just boycott the whole thing and join a local leauge that will atleast give a case of paint to the loosing team.

That is way too much for a freaking pump event. I used to DREAM about playing pump at events and now those dreams of this innocent little boy have been crushed.

But seriously? That's about how much all my gear costs. I'm surprised events cost so much. I think I'll stick to recball and small tournaments for now on....unless I know I can kill and there are some sick pries to be won >)
