They're a small business, not McDonalds...unfortunately this probably isn't an option for them. If anything, they need to make what little money they can because of the setbacks, rather than flush it away.

But as players would we buy paint at ~$125? In this economy? When we can buy paint that performs reasonably well at $65 or even $85? Other than durability / shelf life, if I want paint to play for a day’s play why would I be incentivized to spend $125?

Assuming I spend $1,000 a year in paint I would get 4 more cases at the $85 price point compared to the $125 price point… that’s a lot for so little in exchange… IMO

I would without a doubt if the claims of shelf life and stability hold up. The problem would then be that you're limited to either outlaw play or the few fields that allow BYOP. Back in FL those fields had an additional $10-15 charge for non field paint.

But is shelf life a factor for 1 day's play as a player? As a field owner, I understand that is a big selling point to purchase the paint but as a player im indifferent. I just want paint that performs at a reasonable price.

In this economy a 3 handle on the cost of paint would price the rec-folks / birthday crowd / other out. Im either going to play less or stop playing at that price point.

hah...some of us are used to $150+ cases of rec grade. We still play.

Canadians put the "baller" into paintballer.

Maybe not for the average renter, definitely for the guy that can stretch a case for several months or longer.

Ahhh I see what the disconnect here is... at least for me.

I live in NYC. 2x2 apartment. When I go to the field. I use all my paint. I have no space to be storing cases of paint. I dont keep paint on me to test or for a later date because chances are its going to spoil before I can use it again. So when I go to the field I tend to use up all my paint because I know its going to spoil if I save it.

For folks that have the means to tech markers, test inventions and store paint I can see why this would be a strong enough incentive....

ok cool... I get it now...
