Custar,

as you may or may not know, PTP is currently engaged in an arbitration resolution with JT Sports (formerly Brass Eagle); the patents in question are among the items that are being discussed (mostly how much in terms of royalties and licensing JT is going to pay PTP, the return of IP, whether there are punitive payments, etc: when part of your contractual obligation is to help protect, defend & etc. the IP you are licensing and you fail to do so, there are all kinds of consequences down stream...asnd as you can probably guess, JT does not appear to be all that interested in a speedy resolution).

The end of those discussions and/or any other legal actions that will follow will have a tremendous bearing on what happens with pneutriggers across the board. What PTP is planning on doing with the IP, I have no idea and I'm sure that they themselves are up in the air somewhat as they don't know how the arbitration is going to resolve.

I can say this: when all is said and done, if a license for a mag-based version is available from PTP, I'm going to personally be very interested in obtaining one. Whether I do or not will depend on the market at that time, but I'd like to try some kind of "open source", "limited licensing" arrangement with the folks who have done some diy work.

Painthappy,

that's a genII/III, purplenights ano scheme. There might be a purple nights foregrip hanging around if you're interested...?

Its also got a cut frame and I think there's a purple nights double trigger frame floating around, and I know there's a bunch of blade triggers still available...

Cool G Force

Garf at G Force says they will have some ready in a few months.
Heres the 5th page of the thread over on AO where he says that:

Automags.Org Online Forums - G-Force to release pneumatic frames for the Mags

And heres a video of their 68Super pneumatic marker :

Putfile - G Force 68Super 2006 Demo 6

On their website it says :
-----------------------------------------------------------
Pneumatic Grip Frame for Mechanical Markers

Coming soon G-Force pneumatic grip frame for Autocockers, Automags, Spyders and Tippmann paintball markers.

Stay tuned. More details to follow.

Whether that will happen or not.....who knows.

I would take Steve up on that and get the matching foregrip and double trigger frame. Have you used it yet ?

I bought a 2000 body from Forest earlier this year not long after they found the box with those last ten bodies in it.
Played around and built it with stuff I had laying around.
Sent the foregrip to Rainman to tap the other side of the gas thru so I could use my reverse valve. And had him dust anno the barrel and foregrip. Had it put together and tuned for several months now and I just finally used it last weekend. Its my new favorite.
My first Micromag. The Intelliframe is actually the same shade of black as the Xvalve (different sheen but the same shade) so I decided to leave it.

That is a sweet MicroMag, Carter. The one from Robert, I assume. I have a 1st gen dust black that I just love. Shoots just like any Mag, but they have a certain cool factor, and truth be told, I could never stand the look of the standard steel Mag body. It may be durable and a good design, but it just looks so...blahh.

Anyway, I have no clue about the legal side of all of this, but I have dealt with Forest a bit and he seems to be a "good" guy. He answered a ton of my questions and e-mails and always tried to be helpful. I agree with one of the other posts that we, as players, automatically regurgitate all the bad mojo we have stored up from things like SP vs. AKA and all the other people that Smarty Pants has somewhat crushed with "patents".

I vote for the "wait and see" method recommended by someone else......
