Yeah but they seem to so frequently take up so much space making the marker huge.

Where would someone play with something like the Scarab or a Milsig? Magfed only play must be a heck of a lot of fun, but I haven't seen anyone at my local fields (SC Village, Hollywood Sports, Jungle Island) shooting anything magazine fed except the occasional Tiberius or TPX. And those are exceedingly rare. As much as I'd love to see it happen, I just can't imagine the general paintball crowd dropping their rental BT's or Tippys in favor of a $700 mag fed gun.

the price of the magfed marker isn't the biggest hurdle for players getting into magfed play, it's the cost of the magazines. at $30 a pop, it's a big pinch. especially as you gen get a barebones tacamo marker complete for about $130 and add accessories of your choice. 6 mags for casual play will cost more than the core marker.

This is the reason so many of us were excited when RAP4 said they would launch the dmags at 10/$50 a few years back, as that would make magfed really affordable. With the failure to produce the dmags at any pricepoint, i'm seeing alot of the tacamo kits going up for sale as the owners have gotten tired of waiting.

RAP4 had alot of us excited for affordable magfed, but I think they have missed the boat and left alot of us hanging.

I was one of those hopeful ones as well, I would have loved to spend my money on just crap load of D-Mags and go ape $hit with my CNC's . . . Still hopeful, but not so much anymore.

Anyway, I'm still waiting for magfed play to even show up near me.

WHY does every 'Milsim' marker have to mimic a Gorram AR? I'm sick to DEATH of craptacular AR-lookalikes.

Guess I'm still building my own guns from near scratch for the near future.

Its the most marketable to Military and Law Enforcement. Plus, its easily the most popular firearm today.

That's a true statement. The proof is Walmarts interest in it. They are all over the craze. Last I checked they had 5 brands in stock at my store.

Right. I mean you gotta admit even with the real steel counterpart for all its faults the at platform is extremely adaptable. The same applies for the paintball varient that Mimics it

Same thinking here, im tired of the AR 15, M4 and all that crap.

IMHO the scarab is expensive, i wont buy a marker like that with mostly no stuff to custom. Itīs nice to see this efforts but I think thatīs not the best way to get a piece of cake in the markers scenario.
