| Fire destroys home / donations welcome. Last night at 11:50 I received a call from my brother who lives with my mother (and his girlfriend) in Florida. Their home had an electrical fire and they lost everything but what they had on. They all got out okay and there are no issues there, thank God. The Red Cross is putting them up in a hotel for 3 days and then they will be staying with their landlord for a bit. The Red Cross also gave them clothing vouchers to help get new underwear and at least an outfit (pants/shirt) or two a piece. But other than that, they have nothing and have to start from scratch again. I will be holding a raffle on the UMS Forum with Britt’s permission (thank you Britt) within the coming week to help generate cash funds for them. I am getting together some prizes and Britt is pushing me to offer up a set of custom grips (which I am strongly considering). I expect the tickets to be $5 each and I will accept general donations as well. But all of that will be laid out in the raffle thread when we get it set up. But there are other ways folks can help out if they would like to or have the ability. The three of them still need more clothes. So if folks have any clean and serviceable clothes (pants, shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, long sleeve shirts, etc.) in the following sizes and would like to donate them it would be most appreciated. Men’s : Pants 36/34, Shirts XL Woman’s : Pants Large or Size 14, Pants Size 18, Shirts Large and XL Any clothes you would like to donate can be sent to: Betty Lidy 27934 County Rd 42 Paisley, FL 32767-9688 Any monetary donations can also be sent there as well should anyone desire (as well as letters/cards of support). Or they can wait until I get the raffle and donations thing set up. I thank you all in advance. UPDATE: FUNDS DONATED As of 24AUG07 $470 (does not account for what PayPal takes out). As of 27AUG07 $600+ (does not account for what PayPal takes out). First Raffle is for head wear. Fire Victims Raffle Number One!

| Feel free to run the raffle on my forum as well @ paintballhill.net. We're usually some supportive shooters. Would be good if they had a PayPal addy for donations as well.

| Lord humungus the Mod | My heart goes out to you and your family Sam. Is there a PP address that we could send cash to? If not that may be a good idea for us lazy internet folks to help out... -Jake

| Thank you folks. It looks like people are going to donate markers and other paintball related items to add to the raffle. So I may be running a few different raffles and even a general sale for funds to give. I have to see how much stuff I get in first and what would be the best way to handle it all. As for a PayPal address for cash donations.... If people would just like to donate money they can send me a PayPal payment with the note being "FIRE DONATION". My PayPal account is sales@blackleafoutfitters.com . But remember that there is also a raffle (or several) and sales coming up as well. And general donations do not count for the raffles. So folks need to make sure they send the money appropriately for them. I am grateful for anything as are my family.
