Even IF you could still buy a new EMag/XMag, it would cost you a helluva lot more than $400.

That was kind of my point. Saying "the trigger sucks because I can't walk it in mech mode" is ridiculous.

I know. I was reinforcing your statement ;-)

This has been covered elsewhere- there is an "extra" spring in there to keep the trigger pull or speed or whatever ASTM(?) compliant; if you remove the spring, the trigger becomes light, crisp and fast.

I'm in the manufacturing business. It's what I do.

"Made in the USA" is a joke. It's as honest a statement as this award.

Our USA based contract manufacturing business utilizes factories in India, Malaysia, and Germany. It is extremely common for our customers to have us print "made in the USA" on products we make overseas.

Typically they will use their American factories for expedited orders and to keep up the whole 'patriotic' image, while making most of the product overseas. I'm not saying this is what Tippmann does. I'm saying I would be surprised if Tippmann DIDN'T do this.

The award, much like Tippmann, is a testament to branding.

Federal Trade Commission rules in qualifying as Made in the USA

Quote:
The Standard For Unqualified Made In USA Claims
What is the standard for a product to be called Made in USA without qualification?
For a product to be called Made in USA, or claimed to be of domestic origin without qualifications or limits on the claim, the product must be "all or virtually all" made in the U.S. The term "United States," as referred to in the Enforcement Policy Statement, includes the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories and possessions.

What does "all or virtually all" mean?
"All or virtually all" means that all significant parts and processing that go into the product must be of U.S. origin. That is, the product should contain no — or negligible — foreign content.
Enforcement is the catch here, you can slap "Made in the USA" on any old box and it's up to someone to follow up on it.

I strongly believe Crossovers, Phenoms, the new FT's TPX's are all made in Fort Wayne , Indiana. Some of the bubble pack 98 clones do come from over seas.
