wow, watching that video just gave me an idea how to make the clip automatically feed into the gun when you insert it into the magwell without having to flick the carrier knob thingy.

i just noticed that spyder ad above is pretty much the only paintball ad i've ever seen on youtube that doesn't breach any safety protocol...

Both my GF and I played a couple games with our Hammers, shot great, couple of jams between us but once we break them in it should not be an issue. She shot hopper feed only but I was alternating between hopper and First Strike. I need to work on the feed switching and make something that is faster for later on but I have a feeling that once I get a pile of mags, it will be mag fed only so I won't have to worry about switching.

Handled a hammer-7 in the store today and I was very impressed.
I definitely liked that the entire top of the marker is unobstructed rails, unlike the Trracer I used to have.
They had the two MR-5s too and honestly I think I'm more interested in the mechanical version of that gun, so long as I could run it without the stock.
The magazines were a bit stiff to insert and remove, especially the 10-rounder from the MR-X they had on the wall.

The way the Hammer's grips bulged out did bug me though.
Also, to my eyes, it appeared as if there was a great deal of exposed grip along the rearward edge of the frame, almost as if two grip panel screw holes were molded too far forwards towards the barrel. That would certainly explain the weird bulge.

Has anyone tried installing some "normal" DYE stickies or Hybrid 1911 panels yet to determine whether it's the frame or the wraparound grips that's causing the poor fit?
