in my experience, the barrel isn't important... FSRs are just deadly accurate and long range effective off the bat, even with something like Russc's SMG-68. much better off investing in a durable, decent quality optics system and buying lots of mags and ammo

The way I see it is. If the round costs roughly 40 cents a pop I'm going to want to squeeze every last drop of performance out of it I can. Now as of yet there have been no third party unbiased studies done on the affects of different barrels with fsr's however there have been a few individuals I trust such as uv_halo and oothers that have assured me that there is a very positive impact on fsr's from the lapco rifled barrel. I'm willing to give it a chance.

can you get a pic with it grip-less? i want to see how much meat is underneath for this mod.

the mags felt fine to me, but i had a feeling they weren't meant for you to refill on the field.

i wouldn't worry about sharp corners. you SHOULD be playing with gloves anyway, at least that's what i learned after many a splinters.
