I don't know where you guys get this $200 thing from, the MRX semi goes for $150 NIB at most places, they're not going to charge more for a nelson-based pump. MR5 might be in the $200 range but I'm damn sure the Hammer won't be.

Yeah, I'm thinking: Hammer 7 = sub $150 MR5 = sub $200 EMR5 = sub $250 Spyder knows they're a value brand and that volume is important to their profit margin. When Mommy and Daddy go to Wal-mart and look at the blister packs, it has to be in their budget to buy for lil' Timmy. Anything more than those prices and Timmy gets cheaper airsoft for Christmas. Spyder, like any company, will try to capitalize on initial hype and then the prices will drop to where "Joe Blow" would say "Yeah, what the heck......that's cheap enough I'd try it."

I might be out pending what those mags look like on the inside of the magwel I've fiddled with the mrx at my local shop before. They are a huge pain to reload. This little tiers or whatever catch on the respective tiers on the receiving end if you don't line it up just right. Makes it annoying to reload. I could probably get used to it after a bit. But I dunno. I'll have to go back to the store and fuss with it a bit and see if I can get into a rythem with it

| MCB Member | Was there enough "meat" in the grip so that we could drill and tap ourselves? Thanks.

The plastic Kingman uses in their grip frames is not strong enough to tap, at least not for 10-32. With these sorts of guns, the Trracer included, there's either a press-fit metal threaded insert or a pair of nuts embedded in a "shelf" a few milimeters above the bottom of the frame. Thats disapointing... How hard/costly could it be to put holes in the bottom of the grip? I have Piranna USP that has inserts in the grip for a bottom line... Is there a chance that the markers at the Decay weekend were prototypes that still had room for final changes? Lacking a bottom line option just seems so ... silly and short sighted... |

Even if you can't tap the plastic to thread it for bottomline bolts, you could always put a nut/washer combo on the inside.
