Hey I picked up one of those RED phantom springs to help with velocity issues with standard paint. It ended up being shorter than the hammer spring. Since it's shorter, is it going to have the opposite effect now and not work right? What can be done?

You wasted your time. The stock spring is harder than the red standard nelson spring so its going to lower your velocity if you even get it to work

Reduce the valve spring length or stiffness, or increase the tank output pressure.

I would look over the cupseal and confirm it is screwed on completely and not loose. I used a small piece of electrical tape on the threads to jam it in place. It is removable, and will not chemically attack the cupseal. (I don't know if Loctite or similar chemicals will interact badly with the cupseal plastic, so it was safer to do it that way.)

Your best option so far bring tank output. The valve springs are also kinda proprietary at the moment. Ill ser about sources if i can. My ninja is set at 950 and i have had any issues
And i may be going even higher

Ty and i have done some light testing and so far we know the sweetspot on this gun is extremely high. Far higher than i think ive ever seen on a nelson before. We may even be talking automag pressures

Would it be hard for one of the machinists here to modify the retainer to accept the Trracer power tube and seal? With the Trracer powertube and main spring, I was able to turn the Stab down to roughly 650psi and fire rounds in the 295fps range.

True but theres a benefit to the shape of the valve nut
That bowl is a good thing

I bought a cp reg extender and that fixed my issues with low velocity issues.
