So is this gun a bore drop or a breach drop?

A raised sc feed, at least raised above the existing rail, might take some R&D to get figured out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understand is that while the semi-auto Spyders can be switched from magazine to top-fed on the fly, this pump could not.

All Hammers before this one have been bore drop, and judging from the distance between the feedport and the valve, this one is too.
Besides, would it even be possible to have it be breech drop and have it feed first strikes?

Yup. The semi is just flip and go. The hammer needs the speedwheel/allen screw loosened and then you can flip the barrel.

That is correct. The reason for this is the spyder barrel option.
