I don't remember if this was asked and I didn't see it in the description but is the barrel riffled?

Nope. It comes stock with our very popular DYE UL BoomStick .688". It is iconic of the brand and they are great barrels.

We've had limited success with riffled barrels. The ones that the Ironmen and I have used seem to cause more barrel breaks then usual with regular paint. Due to the OtF system, we went with a tradition smooth bore.

Is the top feed hole FS-friendly? For example, to hand load each round.

Good to have you on here. This marker looks sweet.

Are you guys thinking about things like drum/box mags with any seriousness?

@wingbatwu No, it is not. The depth of the hole is such that the FS rounds tend to fall point first. They are front heavy as you know and they always do this. The magazine is very easy to load. Its almost exactly like a real rifle magazine. When do you anticipate that hand loading would be needed? The magazine system is so easy and reliable I can't think of a situation where I would.

@UThomas Thanks!

While I can't speak to that directly, we have lots of things in the works and we are constantly trying to come up with the next big thing. DYE is very interested in Magfed play and we are looking to support players with as many variations of it as possible. Keep on eye on the DYE blog and FB!

Hopefully, the magazines are kept at an affordable price point that will encourage their use! Tiberius users I'm sure will agree that we're quite disappointed by the lack of the cheaper airless magazines we were promised.

If you have 1400 to spend on a gun I'm sure you can afford expensive mags

The lack of promised airless mags is one of the reasons I'm looking for alternative FS/magfeed platforms like the DAM.

Magfed + Limited Ammo is a popular way of playing up here, so of course you can only carry so many mags, and your mags can run out of ammo pretty quick.

And if you are in a good sniping position, it is quicker to hand feed each FS round than to reload a mag and risk missing the sniping window of opportunity.

That's what I do with my T4 anyway.
