The auto shutoff was one of the major killing factors for me with my NT11. Twice in the same game at EMR I got shot out because when I pulled the trigger nothing came out. 60 minutes is probably enough where I'd never have the shutoff give me problems, but why not just have an option in the board programming to turn it on or off?

Calling it a safety feature is frankly insulting to the community's collective intelligence, considering how the vast majority of paintball guns out there that hold an air charge after the regulator don't have any sort of auto shutoff.

You sir have never worked a customer service desk for a manufacturer. If you had, you'd understand that there are some people out there that are not the sharpest tools in the shed. Dye has tried to do something with the auto-shutoff to address those that may not get that fact. I for one am still forgetful about the gun being aired up after shutoff since the only markers I have shot in the 20 years prior to this one didn't do that. It's not an insult to the paintball community, it's a simple understanding of reality. You may have 1000 people who own this gun and 997 will never have an issue. It only takes one of those 3 to sue you because they did something stupid.

Still, I feel 10 minutes was WAY too short for this gun and I'm glad to see Dye has addressed this. I've had three occasions where I've had a perfect shot ruined because when I went to pull the trigger nothing happened. Not happy about that.

Problems, otherwise its out of your pocket.

I must say, thanks for all of your help kevin. Its nice to know that there's a dye engineer/designer who regularly reads this forum and helps people with their marker issues. Especially when they've spent the better part of a year trying to get a product that you designed, working properly. But hey, I'm only one customer out of how many? You of all people would now what problems exist, or could exist with dye markers.

Kevin - we're glad to have you here. Don't let a few jackasses throw you off.

Mickey - From recent posts your marker now works and you learned you should check your loader settings when you have chops from now on. Consider that a win while the rest of us try to forget the half dozen posts about how you tried everything (except swapping loaders apparently; teachable moment).

LOL.

You guys are such trolls.

It doesn't make sense to call a 10 minute shutoff a safety feature. It's a battery life saver.

You know what also saves battery life?

NON-PARASITIC POWER SWITCHES.

If someone puts their gun away for a really long time, the parasitic switch in there pretty much guarantees that the thing will be dead when you pull it out anyways.

Is the parasitic power switch a safety feature too?
