Huh. Okay, that surprised me. So First Strikes would still have the slight edge on paint volume.
Thats a straight volume, it doesnt count for the air bubble.
I just shone some light through one of my settled FS rounds, and id say that eyeballing it, of the available volume, %15~ are empty.

Yeah true, it's just a rough estimate of potential volume at least... I mean, regular paintballs will have a bubble too, right?

More info of FB- the shells are not plastic, but some kind of biodegradable foam. Strong enough to be shot, but will shatter at impact.

Its just, when the whole brouhaha about getting .50" back into maintstream, was up, i remember some claims were floating up, that the .50" air bubble is smaller, and thus making the paint volume ratio to size higher, than in .68".

At $30 for 100 fins, and probably $.02 to .05 a ball I'd just stick with First Strike rounds. If they got that down to .10-.15 per fin I'd consider it. As it is, I still prefer regular paintballs anyway, but it's nice to switch it up to FSR's from time to time.

I have a lingering suspicion, there you were right also on the prediction that the .50" will be preinstalled, Modern Intel confirms it.

but there few question that need to be ask. one what cost per fin. also are they reusable. will fields allow people to use these item or not. and last one is will you be able bring them to field or will it be like field paint only. where you can only use one you buy from field. it like the idea but looks like some place will not allow them do to fact fins might do some serious harm. or do not have insurance to cover them

100 for $30, not reuseable. Biodegradable. Like with FS, depends on the field.
