| [begin rant] It disgusts me that all you ever hear in these stories is "they were good kids who made a mistake" . Total BS! Good kids don't kill animals in a cruel and inhumane way for the pleasure they get from the pain and death of the animal. And at 17 they are not kids, they are on the cusp of adulthood and deserve more punishment than what they got. Now, I must add that if these persons were not high school football players and were your regular run of the mill skateboarders or "stoners" with or without a criminal history, they would have gotten those 30 days and probably more in lock-up and seen harsher penalties all around. All these idiots learned is that you can do whatever you want, act stupid and pretend you're sorry and you'll get off with a slap on the wrist and some fines for your daddy to pay. They aren't sorry about torturing animals to death, they're sorry they got caught. I hate this because stories like this make people think that all paintball players are like this and I hate it because it makes me sick to think I'm in the same species as these imbeciles. [end rant]

  | Well I guess Im a ***. When we were growing up we killed pretty much anything that walked or crawled. Looking back was it wrong sure but thats what we did we were young. Should we of got in trouble? I guess so. What bothers the crap out of me is this and i quote "Franklin High School Principal Dave Gregory noted the boys were good students and would not face any school sanctions." If it wasnt on school property or a school event stay the hell out of our lives. This really bothers me when schools stick there nose in peoples lives.
