Not that we are smart, but that most of us have been playing for a long time. We know about guns like the CCI Revolution because we were playing back then. We know about guns like the Greenwell Blade, or the feedlocks on Tippmanns. When the Tippmann flatline came out, we remember the Galatic Mag, and CooperT bolts. When the "Turbo" came out last year, we remember when it first came out 15 years ago. When kids talk about innovative "football shaped paintballs". Been there (SafeT). Or vertical valves (ICD), or Pneumatic triggers (Vector). It all seems less innovative since we have already seen it. There might be SMARTER people at AO, SCP or the Guild, but the fact that we are old farts that hoard old technology here can not be beat! ![]() nick

God dammit Al! it was a joke. I quit.. forget it..... screw you guys... I'm going home... (stomp) (stomp) (stomp) (Door slam) (Squeaky Door opening) Yes you are correct Al. If it's a weld or soldered tube you might get different dates than the rest of the material... especially if the material used in the welded material is significantly older than when the weld is performed. It was very crude using a simple 12v motor, but imagine if I had a time machine, and could go back, and document everything. I could then counter sue SP. (insert evil laughter here). But if I had a time machine, i guess I could just go FORWARD in time, grab myself a "Terminator" robot, then send him BACK in time to hunt down Sarah Gardiner.. and.... wait.. what are we talking about?

Interestingly enough HP, Tippmann attempted a "flatline" style barrel prior to the one for the '98. Ran across the patent at the USPTO yesterday. It curved downward from a base-model Carbine. Looked kinda like Gonzo from the Muppets.

Apparently this has drawn attention from the top echelons of SP. An industrial designer from SP tried to sneak into the thread on PBN where this issue was being discussed, but he was outed and dropped out of sight. Now, Bill Gardner himself is posting in the thread. Check page 31 if you're interested in one of his responses. custar |
