Now now, Steve, I am not the defender of what is right in paintball and I never claimed to be. And I certainly did not choose you to be a whipping post, you were mentioned in a blog, hardly denotes whipping post.

Now see that is completely out of context and with your comments encourages readers to not read it all or to even go read it with a 'tainted' frame of mind. And I didn't tell all of you to STFU, I simply stated in a very satirical way that there is a lot more to this case then meets the eye or that anyone of you know. And that a lot of people are simply using hearsay and conjecture along with circumstantial evidence to make huge summarizations of things. Kind of like you did above.

Tom Kaye is a friend of mine, and even if he wasn't I wouldn't tell him to STFU, I have more respect for the man then that. Again, an attempt to paint me as pro-SP while invoking someone I must have insulted. In fact, one of the only things I have ever thought was wrong with Tom was that he didn't capitalize on things to his benefit, however that is neither here nor there. I didn't say he didn't deny, I said that he left some things unsaid and others filled in the blanks for him. Big Difference.

You said you retiring, I've read alot about you, talked to many people about you, followed other threads you have posted, read your stuff on 68 caliber and followed your pbnation threads. You can say what you want, Steve but there is already a patent reformation group in industries much bigger then paintball trying for patent law change, their biggest detractors, Medical and Bio-Tech. But here just for some of you to read:
Intellectual Property Watch » US Patent Reform: Could 2007 Be The Year? I will readily admit that the rest was my opinion based off your comments, demeanor and such about a great many things, sir.

I got plenty of what I deserve from the industry - and you can read that any way you want to.
What I choose to do with my free time, as a hobby, should not be a concern of TB. And so what if I do? Are you afraid that something might happen? (I would be if I saw the track record also...NPPL, X-Ball, rules systems, three books...) |
Didn't you have something to do with NPPL? What about some of those 'crazy' patents from Pro-Team? I mean are you as sparkling white as you claim? I am certainly not, however I am have not set myself as the 'watchdog' of the sport, I tried that seems that people like you didn't like that fact. So here we are.

If you say so, like the industry needs player orginizations to protect the players right? Or what about SPLAT? Or the other ill fated groups that came out to help the 'players' yet either failed because people couldn't or wouldn't get along? How is this supposed to fix that? Again, more money and bigger groups are trying (see above link) what makes you the one that is going to succeed?

Really? You mean the prior art arguement? The fact that you are petitioning a government orginization to overturn patents. You know what you are going to find out, that the whole thing stinks to high heaven. And when you invite them in they may decide to stay awhile and overturn quite a few other patents and such. Or even regulation and that is what everyone wants right? Or will you join/run that group too? I will be more then happy to re-read my editorials, guess what I might even change my mind since I am not a mind reader or a prediction expert.

Thanks for the post Steve, but my website is pretty neutral. A lot more then here or PBNation where the level of 'hate' is pretty high. However, I can hold my own here, at least as long as I am allowed to stay.
