To me the Tippmann seems to be the only Paintball company that understands the relationship between parents-children-sport.

To be blunt, without a health relationship between those three, its hard for a sport to grow and/or stay healthy.

Tippmann has spent money, time and energy doing a fantastic job in answering parents concerns and creating events for parent-kids to attend.

Sure, beautiful young women wearing next to no clothes is a cheap quick sell, but that's a big turn off to mom, who according to most surveys, really controls how money is spent on the kids.

So I guess I am saying...I hope the new Tippmann is allowed to keep up their work on the family angle. Its awesome..

I believe they intend to keep production in America.

I believe you are right.

December 20, 2013 – G.I. Sportz is pleased to announce it has acquired Tippmann Sports, bringing together two iconic paintball companies. This transaction combines the industry’s leading brands of paint (GI Sportz and DXS), markers (Tippmann and GI Victus), goggles (Vforce) and accessories together under one roof creating a global industry one stop shop.

“This fulfills a longtime dream of bringing together the industry’s best product innovators and leading brands to create a dominant industry player owned and operated by paintball players,” said Richmond Italia, Chairman and CEO of G.I. Sportz.

“By combining the resources of two companies that manufacture products in North America, we’ll be able to serve the paintball industry in new and exciting ways while continuing our dedication to leading-edge products and unmatched customer support” said Denny Tippmann Jr., President of Tippmann Sports.

Both Richmond and Denny Jr. agree that its time paintball comes back home. Made in AMERICA, run by PAINTBALL PLAYERS.

maybe this means that tippmann will finally get into mag fed beyond the tpx. new owners might mean new ideas and product lines.

I can understand that and I do hope that there is an expansion of the lines somewhat as far as add ons like extended mags for TPX and such.

But one thing that was always great about Tippmann is that they were slow to change in part because they wanted to ensure longevity of their marker and good quality in that marker. Look how long the 98 stayed around and the A-5 as well. SL-68 still a favorite among man folks... Largely because they lasted.

Tippy's were like the AK-47 of the paintball industry...toss it in the mud, fire off a couple of rounds to clear the chamber and away you go.

Tippmann hasn't been independent in years. If anything, this should free them up to increase quality and make bolder design choices.

Since 2004 it's been more like, toss it in the mud, buy a new clamshell because their mystery pot metal cracked in half.
