New (?) JT/KEE entry-level electronic blowback: E-Icon

This gun has been out for a couple months but it slipped under my radar somehow.
Appears to be JT's attempt at building an inline blowback with sportier lines and an internal air line, similar to Tippmann's Gryphon and more recently, Cronus.
I assume the guts are pulled from KEE's BT-4 and JT's own "Raider" and "Tactical" markers.

To my knowledge it's only available as a part of a ready-to-play kit and seems designed specifically for sale at big-box retailers. Interesting that they're using the same black and neon green color scheme and zombie killer" aesthetic of a lot of Crossman airsoft gun kits currently available in these same stores.

Really nothing to write home about here other than the translucent trigger, which with the LED acts as a power indicator, which is cute.

However, what IS it with NPS/KEE being determined to recycle the name "Icon" for different paintball guns over and over again? Are we up to 4 now? What is the point of this? It's not as if market familiarity and name recognition are a selling factor in entry-level guns when the products are spaced 8 years apart. Baffling.

Looks like an bt slice or f-12 copy... I hate today's industry where everything looks the same...

No bunkers necessary, and your yard will look lovely!

Why do they STILL include the barrel plug? No field will allow that. Just include a normal barrel bag. Is the plug that much cheaper to include than a bag? Teaching safe use is crucial for new players.

Unlike the FT-12 or Slice, this one uses a traditional lotsa-screws clamshell body, unfortunately. You can see them on the side of the box.
To my knowledge, this is the first inline blowback with gas-through-body KEE has put out.

Even if a lot of barrel plug designs aren't up to modern standards, Simon's improved KEE plug designs are safe.
From what I understand, barrel condoms aren't used by KEE because of Cossio's patent issues.

I saw this on Ebay the other day and thought it looked like it had an elongated Ion body.

I'm glad more companies are playing towards newer players by making player packs. I remember when I started I had no idea what I needed.

Hooray, more junk for new players who don't know any better.

Actually the thing shares nearly all it's parts with the Tippmann gryphon. Must have licensed the design and added an E Trigger.

Are those spectra frames on the mask? If so the mask would be semi decent.
