I agree. The shell does add realism to it. What could be next?

Comparing this to the CCM is like comparing a VW bug to a Carrera GT
+/- 1fps on any CRAP4 thing,I'm claiming BS,looks sloppy even on the video

I still say it looks cool. Regardless of how you feel about RAP4, let's take a wait and see. In my book they are good guys filling a nitch for folks who don't have the coin for a $1400.00 marker, but want to hit the field looking the part.

DSA with His good buddy KT owner of RAP4

Maybe this will be the start of something good for RAP4 and what's to hate about another bolt action sniper. It's all good.

Finally watched the video. I think the bolt action upper is pretty slick with it's super short throw. I'd like it even more if it were reversible.

That being said, I don't know what to make of the +/-2 (or less) FPS claim. However, this may be something that merits further discussion on it's own. I think far too many folks in this sport don't know how to report or interpret consistency. Folks really should be caveating it with a % of accuracy. i.e. +/- 2 (95%) would mean 95% of all shots taken should be within 278-282 of a 280 mean. Another common reporting accuracy is with a 50% (1 standard deviation) which would mean that with the same +/-2 FPS, the actual spread would be closer to 276-284 for a 280 mean. This would be why the reporting accuracy is important.

However, this would require folks to record a minimum of 20 shots over a chrono to get good data.

The bottom line is us customers are too loose with reporting our experiences, and manufacturers are following suit when they release statements like "Our gun has a plus or minus 1-2FPS".

i just watch the video and i'm calling bs on the +/- claim.
just look at the bolt jump. if that is jumping cuz of an inrush of air then they've got to eliminate that variable.
ive not seen a video of the sr1 but does the bolt move when shot? i know the sar doesnt

I suspect the bolt is jumping due to an internal mechanical movement, like a hammer.
