I really like it, except the intergrated eye covers/front grip. I'm eager to see what the price is. This year is really going to be hard on the wallet.

I am dying for a price point on this thing. I feel like the sudden hype is just being used to soften the blow. Please Lurker, let me move on with my life.

G3 doesn't have any mechanical method of sealing the dump chamber, this does. I won't pretend to fully understand the operation, but that's the biggest difference that I CAN see.

Yes and no. It is a modified dump valve. Here is the explanation from one of the designers:

So, basically the inner spool is the main valve. In the first ~.17" of the stroke the bolt moves from directed solenoid pressure (neutral bolt). During that part of the stroke the valve is actually gaining a slight forward bias. As the second oring on the inner spool engages on that lip on the ID of the bolt, it actually drags the main valve open. That vent starts and carries the bolt and the poppet something like another ~.5" until the inner spool meets a hard stop (look inside the spring) and the bolt is dislodged from the second oring. At that point firing is initiated. The bolt continues forward and the inner spool begins to close. That spreading action delivers a very front-loaded pulse (read: efficient) to the ball AND breech pressure then shifts the bias on the valve to a closing one. The main spool is already traveling in the right direction (closing) and shuts just as the bolt is starting it's return stroke.
