Not to dishonor his memory, but why did he sleep with a machete under his mattress? This doesn't seem so "senseless" when you couple that with the numerous Felony-Assault charges involving knives and guns in his past. Shooting cars, shooting at people, beating people with sheathed knives... Sean Taylor made a lot of enemies and this doesn't come as a surprise.

I feel worst for his wife and child, who's lives he risked by making his home environment so unsafe for them. They're lucky to be alive, and lucky that he made enough money that they'll be able to stay together and in their own home.

I plan to sleep with a pistol and readily loaded (next to, not inserted) mag under my bed. Of course I'll have a GunVault safe (probably model miniVault GV 1000)for it to be in, so it's secure/safe away but a button combo for easy access. Has nothing to do with my prior history. Has to do with the trust of my fellow citizens. In that I don't trust them. Houses get robbed. And sometimes with people in them. If I happen to be one of those unlucky statistics it's just best to have a plan rather than wing-it.

With that said however... who robs a place and takes nothing? Somebody "broke in" and killed this guy. Yet the girlfriend said it was an armed robbery. That just seems fishy. Not placing guilt just saying I think I know where I'd start questioning.

I very much doubt it was a robbery.

You can take the man out of the ghetto.....But you can't take the ghetto out of the man.
Most assured Pacman Jones will fall to the same fate.

Apparently, someone broke into his place last week ransacked the house, took nothing and left a knife on his pillow. Ominous sign right there.

If that happened at my house (knife on pillow) I might take a long vacation and let the cops deal with it.

what ever happend only the people who did it will know. They will not be caught. Also this is alot like the player who was killed i think last year at the U and they were never found. I hope justice is served one way or another.
