Wow what a load a marketing crap to the unknowing fist their description of what scrim is and does way off. Scrim has no effect on how smooth a barrel is it. Scrim in CF is the weave itself it gives the tube it's strength not smooth finish. ( that is the epoxies job)

How about Sound signature? Accuracy? Are barrel breaks more or less of an issue when overbored and using fragile or misshaped paint?

Looking for insight because I'm tempted to go with one barrel for my open bolts and call it a day.....

I come from the old school shocker days when a tight fit meant super accuracy and better efficiency plus no rollouts. I'm finding that the paint I'm forced to use now is rarely round and terribly inconsistent even in the same bag so I'm getting breaks in the barrel and sometimes at the lip of the insert when the bolt tries to chamber a goofy shaped ball that's larger or more misshaped than it's brothers used to select the insert....

I dont have the answer to all of those questions. I can answer the important one though. If I had an open bolt gun, I would go the cheap route and grab a .689 barrel that I liked, probably a big shot, maybe a 12 inch stiffi, and never think about it again. Sometimes you will need to dial up your reg to shoot smaller stuff, sometimes you will need to dial it down when you actually get a decent sized bag of paint. I dont think .692 is reasonable though.

I havent had great paint in a while either, but I non intentionally almost exclusively shoot closed bolt guns so I have a good set of lapco 1 piecers.

ceojetbroadband - he means bore the barrel for freak inserts. He keeps pushing odell's paintball, its annoying.
