| I Hate This City. Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: New Jersey | Speaking of the safety issues involved in removing a reg from a tank... I consider myself pretty handy. I do my own marker work, and have no issue with it - but I'm not comfortable with my know-how (or lack thereof) to remove a reg from a tank. Where can one learn how to do this safely and properly? |

| Blaster of Muppets | I won't say that retards won't mess their bottles up and create a hazard for those in the area but they WILL create a hazard with or without this tool. Instead of using this tool they'll just use a pipe wrench or something stupid and end up scratching up their reg and busting off the nipple in order to make a hazard. It's like blaming guns for idiots who accidentally shoot their friend or themselves. They'd do it no matter what, they're just using a specific tool. SP already has a reg which can be taken off the tank with a minimum of trouble and I don't see anybody losing an eye from that.

I haven't locktited any of my tanks for years, because it is a bitch to get them apart every other month when they go back thru the TSA. Most players have no need to take the regs of their tanks. Most modern HPA tanks and almost all Co2 valves have bleed channels cut into the threads to prevent the rocket tank of death from occuring. |

Regardless of wither you've personally used water as a lubricant or not I've seen it happen first hand. Which means, word of mouth spreads, and stupidity breeds. I'm not going to watch someone get hurt because some kid didn't know how hard to turn his reg back on or forgetting to add some sort of proper sealant when using this product.

Granted, we all know what a precious resource common sense is.... And FYI: I drag 15 year old children across the country that break away and reassemble their HPA tanks without death and destruction. | |
