ICD going outta buisness, Vaporworks taking over

Vaporworks was one of the first factory certified repair centers for ICD markers outside of the factory. Now after nearly 8 years of servicing these paintball markers, ICD is handing the reigns to us. They are stepping away from the paintball business and we are taking over their service work for them. In the new year, ICD will stop doing all service work on their markers and sending customers to Vaporworks for repair and service work.

We have long been a doing our best to support ICD products and will now do our best to carry on work on their markers for them. You'll get the same service level you'd expect from ICD, only in Kansas instead of Idaho!

Another great old name bites the dust. Sad. The handwriting was on the wall when they got bought out and then the prices dropped through the basement. It seems to be the way that paintball does business now: Big conglomerates buy companies that make competing equipment, dump the stuff for cheap and ruin resale/reputation and then close the doors. WGP, ICD and it looks like a similar thing is taking place with FEP although everyone has their heads in the sand about that one. It's hard to buy anything anymore and be confident that there will be parts and support for more than a few months or a year.

Their recent dump to the big retailers of a bunch of Quests at $100 a pop is the same thing the big companies did with WGP, then ICD. I hear KEE is coming out with their own marker at a level or two higher than the Mini. If that happens I'll bet FEP goes the way of the dinosaurs.

Well at least Brass Eagle didn't get them. I just hope Vaporworks has decent dealer service, because I never had any problems with ICD but when I purchased a chaos board from vaporworks it was a nightmare trying to communicate with them.
