"NPPL HB 2008 - Old School Style

pssst...wanna see history repeat itself...come see where we came from and where we are going....witness the finest paintball in the world!
MAJOR PUMP NEWS: 5Player - Come play at the beach and join the world class league. The OSC and NPPL are proud to announce that at the first 2008 NPPL event the OSC will host a 5player PUMP ONLY Event on Sunday March 30th at the NPPL Huntington Beach. The top 2 Pump Teams will face off on the NPPL Show field for a best of 3. This is an invitational event teams can contact Kristen for registration: kristenkleist@OSCSeries.com.

1.18 team LIMIT
2. 5 Player teams
3. Modified NPPL Rules
4. Teams will play (8) Prelim games
5. 5 minute games
6.Center Flag
7.LIMITED PAINT (60 rounds per player per game)

Starting time approx. 11am

Sunday, March 30th

NPPL will handle team registration
1.Team entry will be $500 per team
2.ALL PLAYERS MUST PURCHASE NPPL/OSC ID cards $20 each. THIS IS A PUMP CARD NOT THE NPPL Players Card. Every player must have one.
3.Players may NOT use Pump ID to play on a NPPL 7man team.

It was only a matter of time. Many of the NPPL's refs are involved with the Old School Challange and many of us are pump only players. Now maybe the tourney kids will see how paintball should be played!

Unless everybody sits & doesn't shoot (especially because of the limited paint rule).

Sitting & no shooting = bad news for pump considering the tourney crowd it'll be played out in front of.

No worries about the LA Hitmen and some other aggressive pump teams sitting, but I worry about some of the other invitees. I guess we'll need to see who gets the invites.
