I am actually in process of putting something just like this together at a local field. It will not be all open play, but actually a specific night, field, group type thing of people who are interested more in the fun aspect than getting mowed.

I am hoping it goes off well. I have had more than a few people who have stated their intrest, but the real test will be to see who shows up the first few times I do it.

I am thinking any marker, shake and bake hopper, no A-5's no Qloaders.
The field I am putting this on at has a large fleet of BT markers available for those who wish to get one and play along...assuming their marker doesn't qualify.

Great post. The games sound a lot more exciting than the typical paint barrage I see at my local field.

Going by this A5 parts list, couldn't the field require all A5 owners to remove the feed sprockets?

Wow thats alot of comments....i agree w/ limiting the bps down to 10bps. But what i haven't figured out is why everyone is hateing on A-5's and X-7s just because they have a cyclone feed? A stock mech A-5 is going to shoot just as fast as a stock mech spyder, so your going to tell me your going to hate on it just because the cyclone almost guarantees that a ball won't break???? I've got a r/t on my A-5 and yes i have that thing singing, but still w/ the r/t doing everything it can do the best i get is 14bps on a good day. IMO being a A-5 owner i would be willing to turn my r/t down to the point its almost non existant or down to 6 bps. But simply telling me that my cyclone feed is going to cause a huge rof is bullmalacky. Honestly i play a huge amount of pirate ball and half the guys that play w/ us are speedballers. How do we even out the field, easy, hopper rnd games and one of my fav. rules, "if you run out of balls YOUR NOT CONSIDERED OUT, you better RUN for the exit before your shot" You will be amazed how well people watch their hopper when they start to hear it shake.

In a seperate note I think more people need to play pumps w/ 100rnd hoppers. That in itself will teach you how to conserve paint and take better shots. You want to play a real good game of ball, play w/ 15 balls per hopper, you'll bet counting their balls while watching yours as well.

I don't think the design of cyclone lends itself to consistent feeding with just gravity pushing the balls.
