| Does it really matter? The companies, JT, WGP, BE, are only shells of their former selves. Do any of these companies build anything in the US anymore? They are all part of the homginization and globalization of the world. ![]() ![]() ![]()

| i'll cut through the business BS here. They're planning on either totally closing several branches and/or offices in favor of more centralized production. Or, with so many repetitions of "traditional" they're probably going to go for a top-down managment structure with all their 'divisions' while standardizing alot of their methods between the subsidiaries. simply put, no matter which way you go now, you'll see three to four quality levels of the same crap with different names, packages and/or milling.

| The names will more then likly stay the different offices will all be brought in under one roof. One development team will be made , warehouses will be located with or along side the existing ones in Jarden. The real news Jarden finally realizes they have a lame duck and need to cut fat to make profits. A lot of jobs are going to be eliminated. This is all something K2 should have done but for some reason stumbled at. They also be centralizing ordering you may have a customer service rep that sells everything Jarden sells eventually. ( though you account will be limited to you specific outlet type) It is a good and bad thing K2 should have brought professionalism to the industry (ala ski, and cycling) but did not, they also should have streamlined. Yes there will be differing levels of the same product but most of the time they will have differing labels and markets. ( IE that base ball bat and glove are not the same in Kmart ot the local sport shop) |
