| SAK World Paintball and Nitro Duck Possible Merger | Sakworldpaintball Blog SAKworldpaintball.com has been a long time dealer of the Nitroduck Brand name. NitroDuck has always been an innovator in HPA technology, blazing the way with their dual stage Mega Regulator, their single stage adjustable X-Stream regulator and currently the Iregulator which has a interchangeable pressure piston kit. NitroDuck was the first company to put “tank threads” on a HPA tank and to drop the whole cradle/dove tail system. This innovation paved the way to 97% of all paintball tanks having the common screw in feature. When we heard of the opportunity to acquire the brand, a long standing name in paintball, we jumped at the thought. We are currently exploring all aspects of the possible buy out including if it makes sense and adds value to our mutual customers. If any information develops we will be sure to update it here. | From what I understand Nitro Duck is just a name anyways, there regs are built by a completely different company (who I will leave un-nammed) that owns the rights/patents to the regs as well. From information that I had Nitro was looking to get cheap chinese regs for about $15 a pop and pretty well POed the company that builds there regs. It would seem that this is either smoke and mirrors by nitros owners to get purchased and then leave, or just an attempt for another company to use the brand name. |

| Hi, Wow interesting. I thought ND just basically fell off the earth like every other old school compressed air company. I personally never cared for ND after dealing with them on the phone. It might have been the person I dealt with but the guy that I spoke to was a real tool. Also if I recall correctly, ND/PMS didn't buy themselves any more good publicity with the World Cup 97? with the fill nipple issue. I think they were charging $25 per nipple as well as force people to use the nipple " in the name of safety" at the event. If you had an AA nipple, sorry! They did bring about the screw in revolution. AA tanks did require fancy craddles or you remoted it. I did the latter with a 114/ 3000. Today I don't know with some of the tanks out there. Crossfire seems to have gone down hill big time. My dealer refuses to carry them any more. They have very poor quality control. I think he said he is carrying Pure Energy tanks. Apparently, they are good now. The last time I seen one of them it was in pieces for a rebuild with 10 others behind it. Who is SAKpaintball any way? Never heard of them. shaggy

| That's poor business practice to announce to the world that you're looking at buying out another company. It encourages other companies to start a bidding war and discourages employees with both companies.

| Theres a thread on AO stating Nitro Duck closed up shop last week. I think it points to a link on PBN. (tried to find the link both places and failed, but I know I saw where they shut went out of biz) So if Sak buys them they will keep the I-Reg going. I have 3 of them and really like them. ![]() |

| Our school club recently bought a considerable amount of orings from ND (Kipp) after a year and half of business interactions. When they got the orings, they were surprised to see they were dry rotted. When we have tried to reach Nitro Duck about getting a refund, they do not respond to the email and their phone never picks up. I don't understand why they can't reply to emails. It makes me think he was purposely selling us bad orings just to get rid of them and then ran with our school money. For me, this is really wierd, especially when Kipp used to always reply to emails and hooked us up many times with fittings and hosing for our old as club loaners. At the current moment, I would have to say their service is sucky. Stay away from them until they get their act together. Smiley IUP PB Club Indiana University of PA |
