I would hazard a guess htat you need to be fluent in taiwanese (or mandarin or whatever language is prevelent there.)

Been dealing with china for awhile on gun parts. I think the best language is my foot in their arses!

Seriously, it would be best if the world spoke english. When that happens the USA will be speaking spanish go figure. The company my wife works for is Swiss based. The official company language is English not Swiss or German. Just about any communication in the company has to be done in English.

JPA That's the site for the Japan Paintball Association, the npo I helped to found to promote paintball in Japan. English site coming soon. In the meantime, you can get the gist of it by translating with Google.

I highly doubt it. Their sales network is Asia and Australia, so I'd imagine English would be far more useful. I know Ellen and she's great, and her English is quite fluent. It would probably be a blast to work there, and if I wasn't so entrenched in my life here in Japan, I'd give it a shot.

And I doubt they'd pay for the move, but if you happen to know Dave Y. maybe you could ask.

I worked for a company out of Tiwan before. Not the best people to work for. After seeing some of there factory work videos, you can forget it. Very unsafe work practices. Maybe not at DYE, but who knows. Just my opinion.

My sister is doing research/post doc work at the Taipei University, their departmental language is English, but it's not that common out on the street.

My wife and I spent 2 weeks there last fall. Amazing country, amazing food.
