And her advice seems sound... heh...

"Do not wear nice clothes. Wear something you don't care about, like your boyfriend's clothes."

We all know how THAT relationship will turn out....

wow i wrote better papers in 8th grade. Seriously this sounds like something that a girl wrote after a day of play 2hrs before the paper was due

After reading that I'm somewhat embarrassed to be female. Written tongue in cheek or not, it's still leaving me cold.

A creative writing degree will probably land her a job as an elementary ed. English teacher somewhere...

Nope. You need to be certified to teach kids- unless it is a private school. Education majors are able to write more well done blurbs and articles than that one.

I thought creative writing degrees also taught you how to say, "Do you want fries with that?"

Now, now, lets not be too critical about her writing skills. Lets talk about her insight from a girls point of view about playing paintball.

After all she might pay us a visit.

I thought that it was interesting how important her"image" on the field was. Either I'm too old to care anymore, or have forgotten what it was like to be 20! My main focus was always the win.

Maybe that's a difference between what is important to girls and what is important to guys?

I've seen some pretty competitive girls on the field, but also some guys that I'm afraid, image was everything.

Let me vent for a minute to no one in general -

If you asshat grammar Nazi's can do so well teaching the youth and think that your writing skills make you the next Tom Clancy - either get to writing, get to teaching, or get to shutting the hell up.

I am SO VERY tired of the peanut gallery comments about 'education today' from knuckleheads who don't teach, don't support the local colleges or schools, and don't work in academia.

Sorry - I am a professor who needs better medication.

I really do mean this as 95% joke and 5% 'put your money, or time, where you mouth is' critique of those who slam education.
