Wasn't it somewhere like sweden who did a study on spanking and found that it actually is a weight loss program? I vaguely remember hearing about it somewhere. That is probably one reason why american kids are FAT, their parents aren't spanking which kept us from the earlier generations more fit and thin?

There was a recent study released that linked being spanked as a child with risky sexual behavior and dangerous bondage/suffocation sex play as adults.....

Nah not that one it actually had to do with weight lose maybe being hit burns calories or something. I know it could be used as a form of exersize for the parents in some cases

Yes, I read about this study. If it is the same one, there were major problems with the sample size and demographics.

As with any study it all depends how you want it to turn out. Also, people who believe in the results will take them as fact and those who don't will poke holes in the "method" of achieving the results.

I don't care either way, I just posted that as food for though. I know how I'm raising my kids and it's how I feel is the best way.
