FINALLY... a real aftermarket board for e-blades

this is taken from a post over on pbn, and honestly sometimes i dont agree with all of Will's (Tadao's) decisions, this one gives me a whole new respect for the guy, and with the steep downturn of the cocker market these last few months, its refreshing to know that we cocker users have not been forgotten entirely.. i post this up here knowing there are many cocker faithful that frequent this place, and i know we are all more about mech and pump, but a few of us own electros (even though we dont like to admit it)

Being that I owned a myriad of autocockers "back in the day," including an SFL, a few Freeflows, a Belsales Predator, and even one of Billy Ceranski's hazard striped 100 lb trigger pull behemoths, I've been looking forward to developing the new Yakuza E2 and E1 boards for some time. So here's the first fully functional prototype:

Like the Yakuza Ego 7/8 board, it sports a removable OLED module, available in blue and white, and has multiple orientation settings so you can run the display in landscape or vertical styles. Specific to the E-Blade frames, there are settings to adjust the screen area to conform with the larger E2 or smaller E1 frame display sizes. As seen in the second picture, the optical trigger switch is in use, as are the usual battery spring contacts.

Of course autococker specific adjustments are present, with full support for MQ Valve owners, including extended setting ranges for dwell and anti-bolt stick. Both reflective and break-beam eyes can be used, too.

Compatibility with WGP e-frames is not certain, yet, since the screen and button arrangement is not identical to the Eclipse frames. Due to the main board position inside, it is possible to mount a second side facing OLED module, but it would have to point out the right side, rather than the left, since there's frame material that lies behind the board. Plus, this would mean you need grips with windows. Ultimately, not my most favorite solution, but we'll see as I dig into it a little further and get closer to release. For now, count on just E2/E1 support with the rear facing OLED screen, and the possibility of a secondary OLED module available for WGP frames that you can plug in for a side view.

ETA? When it's done.

I'll be attending the PSP in Arizona next week, stationed with the Bob Long techs. You're more than welcome to stop by for free upgrades, service, or to check out some of the latest Yakuza OLED Series boards.

Thanks for posting this up here, I'd have missed it due to my reluctance to go to PbN. It's good to see that the e-Cocker owners aren't out in the cold any more.

Saw this over on custom cockers, I had heard rumors it was in the works.

Assuming that it's not a gazillion dollars, I'd be interested in one

I'm hoping they'll make on for the pitiful WGP SF Frame.. You can't even adjust the ROF cap, so you are pretty much screwed with the new 13.4 BPS cap.
