I hope the "industry people" will take the time to shoot an email to Jungle (or myself and I can put it in the right hands) with anything they may find to be in error as well. You can PM for it if you'd like. This magazine is written by us and for us and I, personally, would like to see it be a very strong representation of our sport and take great pride in everything my name goes on (and doesn't) in the mag (even though there are the occasional errors here and there).
I didn't know you wrote for Jungle. One of my fellow scenario writers at Mission Masters has written a number of articles for Jungle. Look for anything by B.T. Robertson. He's a published author in his spare time. In the upcoming issue, I think, there is going to be a small section about producing scenarios, which B.T. wrote.

If anyone has any ideas of things they want to see written about in Jungle, let me know and I can pass them on to B.T. who can propose them to the editors.

Jungle has the best Photography. Big glossy Pictures, sometimes artsy. Pictures really are the why most players buy magazines. When I saw full page pictures of Russians playing on a hill that was on fire I was sold. I also feel a strong need to go to Moscow.

I too was disgusted by that girl in that article. I didn't blame the magazine though. It's possible that something was reported inaccurate but that didn't come to mind at the time.

Yep. I write scenario articles, have done some gear "tests" and write all the news and gear sections. I also do the gear section for Facefull now. It was funny how it happened. A photog needed someone to write an article for him because he only likes to shoot......he posted his "request" for a writer on the game producer's forum and I responded. It's so much fun to be able to play paintball and write about it and test equipment (i'm a techno geek anywho..lol).

First off, I must say that I enjoy reading Jungle, as well as Facefull itself, though I am glad I can now get them seperately. I may deem on a given month that the latest Ollie Lang article, or another NPPL vs. NXL article isn't worth sifting through to get to the badass pictures.
One thing I do find interesting though is how polarized this game has become regarding the scenario vs. tourney styles of play, and I think this move by Facefull is indicative of that trend. As the sport continues to commercialize in two different directions, it leads me to wonder where it is all headed...
Anyway, kudos to Jungle. I look foward to picking my poison from now on!

I've liked this magazine ever since the flashy photo shoot of rec markers... where someone seemed to have put the A-5 hopper on backwards. Or maybe that's some new trend?

#14 is out, and on page 22, there is a short interview of Weltman. And some pics also.

I have seen this happen too often to other magazines, both paintball related and non-paintball related.
I beg to differ: look at ANY consumer industry today. Appealing to the Lowest Common Denomintor IS what they must all do in order to achieve financial success.

My suggestion for the publishers would be to start getting as many pictures of half-naked chicks sporting scenario gear on the cover as quickly as possible, INCREASE the number of typos 'cause the kids don't read real English (preferably use text-speak) and generate long-standing controversy by suggesting at some point in every piece that the readers really ought to be playing tourament ball...

(typos not intentional but they help make the point)

This is great. Considering that I play more Scenarios. I'll go out during Lunch tomorrow and see if the Barnes & Noble by me has it. Thanks Zulu.
