A mag is not the best example here. heck, you can completely field strip a Piranha by just pushing a pin out and everything but the valve pops out. Thats quick. So many other guns are the same way. Why anyone would want to do that all on the field, I dont know.

Sorry, but that's not original. PPS has been doing THAT for years, and for far less $$, and far higher quality.

A little SP hate goes a long way though, and we should all know better than start the SP arguments here because it just devolves into the same ole personal preference bashing session. Any time I see a SP topic: ![]() As far as the marker..meh, whatever. I won't be buying one just like I won't be buying an electro that costs me more than a week's pay and still provides me the ability to shoot 15bps or less. If I'm paying $1500 for a gun it's going to need to be a) custom built to my specs b) exceedingly rare or c) have an additional "special low pressure port" for out of game entertainment. |

The Ions, cheap disposables that sometimes don't hold up, but are they a decent bang for the entry level buck paint hose? Sure they are. I wonder if Smart Parts is going to hose their dealers on this one like they did with their Ions and Ephianys? Sell them to their distributers at one price, and then undercut those same dealers a week later. What makes this a $1500 dollar gun? I am with Custar with his point, for that price it better come with the best of everything.

| MCB Member Join Date: Oct 2007 | Why don't high-end paintball guns look "mean" anymore? Heck, I'm gonna drop 1500 on a gun, I want angular milling, wood grips, black and chrome and grey scheme, and for function to preclude form. This politically correct "martian adult toy" look has been bothering me as much as the pricetags and "feature" lists. I love how a minimag looks like a Tec 9, how a Hurricane is just sexy, how a PGP at least has clean, functional lines, and how an autococker has every moving part right there, staring right at you. The "aesthetic appeal" of these new guns is just to soccer moms who don't like guns, it seems to me. I like my guns to look like they mean business.
