Very good analogy. Anyone with half a brain can take a closer look at an Acura and find "HONDA" stamped everywhere from the windshields to the engine block. Same with the Luxe...it's a Shocker with a different body. Look at the internals and you'll find this to be basically true. The mere fact that it costs so much is creating a lot of buzz, and there are more than a couple of players at my field who are intrigued by it. If it were to come down to 900-1k in price, I think it would have a lot of buyers. Not me, but then again, I hate Smart Parts. Not so much for their underhanded business tactics, but more for their shoddy guns. Raion claims that Smart Parts is just doing the actual production...well, isn't that important part? I don't care if some entirely "new" branch is marketing the damn thing, I care that the people who make such terrible guns are making this one too.

i dont hate smart parts, i think they do use underhanded and uneccessary business tactics, but i dont hate them. i own a couple SP guns, and i like them well enough.

that being said, i hate the luxe. it is hideous. and as Raion said a few pages back, it looks and feels like a tippmann 98.

ill leave it to the agglets to marvel at the "technological advances" of this new gun, and stick with my "low end" electros.

Personally I like the looks of the luxe, but some of the "features" turn me off from it(as if the 1.5K price tag wasnt enough)

The magnetic detentes and hood ruin the look of the marker, and the anno makes it look like one of those toy guns I can get at walmart.

The whole "speaker" **** is stupid IMO, I question the reliability of it, especially when you play in sand and such. What's wrong with an LCD or OLED screen? Its a million times easier to use than any other system, and I like being able to look down at my A1 and see my battery status.

The big killer, I hate companies when they use proprietary regs, even more so when the reg takes the place of the bloody ASA. Soon the standard threads will be a rarity at this pace, which is going to piss me off to no end.

The I will secretly take pics of you using it and spread it across the know universe. I am seriously about bringing one for you to play with tho. I know Darryl has a demo he lets people use and I can kick him in the nuts and steal it for a weekend.

I'm working on making it back for Castle, and the Grand Finale are my only really firm games. Might do the next Blanding. I wish you had one last Castle, I could have dropped it in the bonfire! My games are still really limited with the house repairs and being stuck in Florida.

I will be more than happy to give you an honest review if I get the chance.

EDIT: I might be driving down for World Cup.
