Could repeated attachment and removal be a problem also?...ie...flying/shipping

That possibility is the main reason I will always ship a tank. I don't screw around with tanks.

Tommy,

I don't think that is has to do with repeated removal of the valve. If it is done correctly there should be no problem. Just can't be dumb and misinformed like I was..

Harb,

I'm with you. I tell everyone to ship the tanks to the hotel. It's easy and one less thing to mess around with when you get to your event.

I was just speaking in general.....could some of the breakage we hear about be because of taking the Reg on and off..over tightening ect...

this really makes me skeptical about aluminum tank regs now also seeing now 2 of the same regs breaking. I think maybe its time that tank regs be upgraded to titanium or stainless i know its a bitch to machine but if regs snapping becomes normal it has to be done

I don't recall any other regs doing this. And they haven't really been on the market that long. It could just be the first of many.
