SOB.

I totally forgot I brought my old beat up spyder for the auction and didn't give it to anyone. I guess I can ship it for the next benefit...

How did that happen I wonder? Glenn provided a stack of Stabilizer certificates and neither one of us ever heard what became of them.

Perhaps it was the impending rain or the surprising success of the bake sale or who knows, but the ball was certainly dropped and I apologize for EMR/Blue whomever to we at MCB convinced to donate items.

I suppose it would be possible, and possibly more lucrative, to auction the donated items on ebay or maybe here somehow. I will drop Blue a line and offer my assistance.

I donated items for both the auction and bake sale, I am wondering how the the bake sale turned out and what happened to the auction items

Drum, I believe the items were given away as part of a raffle.

There were two raffles I believe, one for the regular EMR event, and one as the benefit for Rich.

If I had been informed that this was going to be a raffle I wouldn't have reached out to everyone that I did. Now I really feel like an ***. At least Rich got something but this really could have been handled much better.

Dude not your fault, I would have given what I did no matter how they planned on giving it away. It was for a good cause and as long as Rich got the proceeds so be it.

I think more money could have been raised with an auction but time might have been a factor.

The bake sale set a record. I can't recall exactly how much but the figures $700.00 and $1200.00 spring to mind. It was very successful and thanks to the generous people who cooked and staffed the booth.

Also, not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but our own Al "incynr8" Lalumia won the 50/50 raffle and then donated his half ($200+) to Rich, et al. Way to go Al!

Simon, I do not think that Glenn's Stab certificates (for example) or any of the donated "used" guns were a part of the raffle. I was not listening so carefully that I could not be wrong, but I do not recall hearing anything about any of those mentioned as being part of any raffle.

I agree with you, Sloonan, I am somewhat embarrassed by the way this has played out... so far.

I agree completely. I was just happy to help out. I have no worries or issues.

It was, but not given the it deserved. Very cool.

I also wasn't paying 100% attention and was drinking a little at this point... but I did see the phantom I donated before to a previous charity event, being held up and offered again. They were also reading from a list of "certificates" as prizes were being handed out, although the ones I heard didn't seem to be for stabilizers.

I didn't stay until the very end. I was already late for dinner, and having been under the weather all weekend, very tired.

My only regret of the whole weekend was being too tired/ill to hang out as much as I would have liked to.

Everything else was great.

Well good then, the sniper I tossed in was handed in at the store at the same time as that Phantom so it sounds like everything was handled appropriately.

Again as you said.....just happy to help out
