Benefit for Rich Gilbert at EMR's CCXXV

One of our EMR family is in trouble and needs our help. Rich "soultaker" Gilbert is a long time ref and part time staffmember at EMR. Those of you who have been to EMR have certainly seen Rich, who is always everywhere and doing everything. If you have been to EMR in the last 10 years or so, Rich has probably given you a hand with something.

Rich has suffered a "grand mal" seizure the result of brain aneurism. One of the blood vessels in his brain broke and sprung a leak. He is currently listed as "stable" at the Hershey Medical Center, where he will be for some time. Reports from his family indicate that he is improving but not yet "out of the woods".

To show Rich that his paintball family can and will step up, as he has so many times, to help a fellow baller in need, EMR and friends will be throwing a benefit to raise money for Rich and his family. As it would seem that Rich's health insurance is trying to avoid paying for his treatment, money is extremely tight and the ongoing medical bills are going unpaid.

There will be a bake sale and a gear auction. Many of the EMR home teams with generous sponsors will be raffling gear, paintball guns and all manner of paintball related schwag as well.
If you would like to help, bring any gear or baked goods that you would like to donate to the cause when you come to EMR for Spring Castle. If you are not coming to the game but would still like to help, watch this space or contact Blue at emrpb@epix.net and he may be able to direct your efforts.

Dang, he is a good guy, very helpful ref. I'm sure my wife would be more than happy to bake some goodies for me to bring along. I'll hafta rifle through my gear as well.

I'll gather up all I can in gear and fire up my oven, maybe some special brownies will bring in some money.

Groucho, I do not believe that anything like that has been set up as yet. Thanks for your generous intentions though and I will update this thread as soon as I hear of a way to donate funds.

I will be coming to Castle, as well as my team. I will be bringing some gear and at least 1 Compressed air tank to donate. I don't know Rich Personally, But I think that anyone who could help out Rich and his family should do so. We as Paintball players are a family, and should help out in any way we can. Even if it is just a couple of bucks. It all adds up. Maybe stick some jars at the vendor booths, and people could throw some of their change and maybe a single or 2 in there after they make a purchase.

Could someone Shoot me a pm with who to contact upon arrival so i know where to drop off some goods.
