Point 1. "No worse than Maxim or FHM". There are States where those magazines are sold from behind the counter BECAUSE of the nature of their content. The nature of their content is advertised by the kinds of cover pictures they put on them. PBNation has not ever advertised itself as 'like Maxim or FHM', so far as I'm aware. If the opening page of PBN featured a pic of a scantily clad woman with the legend "Just Like Maxim, but with some Paintball too", then your excuse might hold some water - but in this case - not.

Point 2: the "law" states that hosts CAN be held responsible if inappropriate activities take place that they are made aware of and if they FAIL to take proper actions. Go look up your internet law again. Assuming that part of the law is assinine and doesn't apply to you is a sure way to get yourself in trouble. The case that made that law was decided AGAINST AOL because they knowingly allowed users to place copyright infringing materials on their servers and AOL had the MISTAKEN belief that they weren't responsible for removing it, so they ignored it, just like you are. If users on MCB posted beastiality pics, if it was brought to MCB admin's attention and they said "we can ignore it because a user posted it", they'd be liable. Fortunately, the RESPONSIBLE, ADULT, MATURE members at MCB would run the poster off before it even became that much of an issue.

Since you guys are right,why do you feel the need to follow people around spinning your story to anyone who will listen? If your right won't the facts be your vindication? If you don't like it, why are you bothering to look? I certainly hope no one is holding you prisoner and forcing you to look at a paintball forum.

For the record, I don't give a crap one way or the other what happens to PBN, it's not my business, I wasn't a part of it, and there's nothing I could do one way or another.

Finally, I don't think many of us here should be posting about maturity either.

I just dont think personally attacking someone for something they didn't do or was involved in was fair or mature. It accomplishes NOTHING.

Sweater puppies, not that it's a big deal.The point wasn't if I liked the thread or not. If you (no one directly, in general) are going to shake a finger at PBN for someone or some people for sending pms with questionable content, please .. take a look at your own pride and joy forum.

and there are plenty of people who like me. Not being liked by you isn't a big deal to me. Not bing liked by someone who lives in California, Alaska, Florida or wherever isn't a big deal. I could care less to be honest, I'll never see them. If I do, then we can have a good time playing paintball. Don't say nobody likes you, unless you are 100% sure or are speaking for yourself

Raion they are obviously involved, they are over here spinning for Ed, and reporting back what the users here are saying, and if you have an account at PBn, you are being monitiored, your post are being deleted, and you are being harassed. I have had at least 3 different post deleted in the past 24hours that had to do with b.o.s. bans related to this whole brouhaha.

What is sad is that The Nation used to be a nice place on the net to go and talk about and learn about paintball. After Paintball City shut its doors, I migrated over to that site and spent quite a bit of time perusing its forums. Alot of the users who used to frequent the Nation seemed to show a desire to want to help others and made it a decent place to exchange ideas and information about the paintball sport. Now it seems to be overrun by obnoxious kids who are pretty much rude to anyone and everyone who has a decent question to ask, or who tries to make helpful posts about specific topics and certain paintball specialties.

I wonder how far down the list of overall online forum sizes the Nation would fall, if they shut down small talk and all the other sub forums that have practically nothing to do with paintball? I am curious how many page views and how much "traffic count" those NON paintball parts of the forum actually generate. I bet you it would make a serious difference. Especially since alot of the more mature and more helpful paintball users seem to have become disgruntled with the site and seem to be spending time elsewhere.
