Getting sidetracked again folks.

So now we have to discuss 'what is porn' huh?

Sex acts or just naked breasts? Does it have to be pictures, or can it be text too?

You go down to that FLDS compound they just raided in Texas and I guarantee you that they'd consider most of those images being discussed to be porn and unacceptable for viewing by both children AND adults.

Alright... Everyone needs to take it a notch down.

First off, over there, it wasn't a question of what might cross the line, if it does... Geez, is this a hanging chad or not?

In short, they were trading pictures that blatantly crossed the line. I've talked to folks myself. Yes, it happened. I've personally talked to folks involved. Was anyone involved either under the age of 18? If not, then legally, it's a non issue, and forum wise, it was a grossly negligent act on the moderators point who are there to patrol the area, that knew it was going on, and just let it happen.

ESPECIALLY on the moderators that were in charge of the section.

But as other said... It's a slippery slope. It's a private section. One thing slips, and another, and another. Soon it becomes the norm.

I'm not trying to defend anyone or any site, it's just that I know how it is here, and folks always wanting to push that envelope.

We try to keep it PG on the forums, and PG-13 in the private section. It's private, and yes, you can loosen your tie so-to-speak, but there are still rules and we do what we can to stick to them...

I believe that's what most places strive for... even PBN I would hope. I know that's what the owner probably expected. But when your team lets you down, it's time to clean house.

How bad was it? We'll never know. Not unless you get into the database and start looking. The banned users... All their PM's should still be there, and give me 30 seconds with PHPmyAdmin and a username, and I'd be able to tell you. It's not that hard to do if you need to do it.

I'm imagining it was done, and that's what prompted the banning and some of the certain text that was posted by the admins over there.

So please cool it here, and just keep watching worldoftb, and you can discuss if over there in depth if you must but fighting here isn't going to do us any good.

I'll keep it unlocked for now, but if it keeps going and degrading this way, I will.

I am usually very careful to not violate t.o.s., so if you have examples then by all means post em up. Smak talk in game thread isn't flaming, so it does not violate T.o.s., game threads are allowed, as are sponsorship annoucements. Heck we even purchase news up for news threads if they are req'd. I had multiple post diappear that were direct responses to who was banned and why. On topic and relevant. Other MCB members had this happen to them as well. I have the topic notifications and what was posted in them to show that they were.

I think you miss alot of things. I am not alone. One thing it would appear you haven't missed is the crack your nose happens to be buried in. Ed won't walk so funny if you back up just a smidge.

I dont know your pbnation name. I was stating by the way you post (here on mvb) you are violating posts that would be against the rules at PBN. I think if anyone is harrassing anyone, you are doing quite a good share. Saying things like your last comment about my nose and Ed's *** is clearly something that shouldn't be tolerated. Check yourself, be an adult. Furthermore, to clear things up between your views of my thoughts on Ed, I really don't know the guy at all. Also, I do not agree with A LOT of things on pbnation (like the banning of nppl, pbpotography, and the required paid ups for news and scenario). Please stop pulling things out of the air because you want to win an "e-fight" you "e-thug" you

Im sure if Harb and other members here had some really incriminating evidence on PBN, they would report to the autorities. I would also encourage it ! I don't want anyone to be breaking laws here. However I don't see anything from what I see that would be a real violation by the law. I am not a mod and I dont have all the story that is here to say "yes, pbnation was wrong and should be shut down", ect.

All I just finished spending about 6 hours reading every post in the ASM Girl Thread V2 that is now in the evidence forum and cutting and pasting copies of posts to use as a guideline in taking action.

I am still amazed at the shear stupidity of the participants in this thread, Mods and ASMers alike.
Many of these posters are old enough and should have enough life experience to have taken a step back and stopped this from spiraling into the eventual pornography trading ring that it became.

Yep, that’s exactly what it would be described as in your local newspaper.

Here is the typical headline:

“Authorities today seized dozens of computers as several dozen members of an internet pornography ring were arrested in a nation wide crackdown. Several members of this pornography ring were trading pictures of underage girls and sending pornography to underage members of the group. All of them will be charged with felonies and if proven guilty (or they accept a plea bargain) be required to register as sex offenders for the rest of their lives.”

Their parents and loved ones will have to spend tens of thousands of dollars of hard-earned money to hire attorneys to defend themselves.

They will have to face the women they exposed and their families.

Farfetched you say? You better spend a few minutes considering the fact that most of you had no idea who you were trading pictures with. Was it an old creepy guy posting your naked wifes picture on a porn site? Or was it 15 year on mommies computer who is going to get caught next week and point the finger at the nice man that sent him porn? Mommie and daddy are going right to the police and local DA to ask them to stop the nice man who shared pics with their son. How about that Chris guy from Dateline and those very helpful police officers that are always willing to give you and your computer a ride?

Stupid. Really, really stupid.

Ok, I have ranted enough and if you don’t get it by now you are not going to get it and good luck to you in your future endeavors.

Please learn something from this as the next time it might be cuffs and not a ban.
