If there was "no porn on nation" then why would Ed call it a pronorgraphy trading ring?

Those quotes are in deed interesting but still don't have a clear path to legal issues. I think the statement released by CS was thought about in depth and very cleverly worded to avoid the main legal complications.

Legal issue: porn in a public area viewable to minors

CYA = "At no time during this issue were ANY pornographic images visible in the ASM Girl thread to ASM members"

Legal issue: if they have looked into the PMs and have evidence that under age porn was sent or recieved by anyone there (housed on their system or not) they are legally required to report it to authorities. Failure to do so makes each person with knowledge of this personally liable.

CYA = We had no way of knowing the content and we still don’t know. We treated it as a “worst” case scenario.

Question is... did they actually look into the PMs or not? They're saying no but that brings up some interesting privacy issues. I might just have to go read their EULA again.
