I really wish I would have planed everything out to go there. It's only like an hour away from here. Who on MCB is going? I could probably get last moment tickets.

Can you go up and look at the vendors and stuff without registering? Just wondering..

First, thank you Drum for the update. There is one correction to the information provided by the Draxxus crew; the field is now over 800 acres!

Several of us. Marauder Pilot, as announced just above, is coming from the Great White North. I will be there in the Geisterjagers, and we have 6 - 9 coming from Canada. Bond Chick who has posted many lovely posters and pictures in the Events forum will be there leading the Valkyries. Pepper (who hasn't been terribly active here recently) will be there. Bass and SquirrelCommander aren't on here much, but they will be present in the Geisterjagers.

See Drum's post. Until 30 May, you can pre-register at $70.00 (plus $5.00 camping fee if you camp on-site) or show up and pay $100.00 (plus camping fee if applicable). If you show up Saturday morning, you will have a difficult time registering and completing orientation before the game starts. Orientation is mandatory before you play. Unlike many other paintball events, this one WILL start at 9:00 a.m. sharp, regardless of whether any player is not ready. Deployments will begin much earlier. Also, if you don't pre-register, you will be assigned to a side and unit by the D-Day staff based on what is needed to balance the game. If you pre-register, you can pick whether you play German or Allied and can request (but not be guaranteed) to be assigned to a specific unit.

Yes. In fact, many players will have non-playing family members stay throughout the event. The expected attendance of all players, family members, vendors, etc. is 10,000 to 15,000. You can shop and buy from vendors without registering.

Hmm... I might make a trip down there just to check it out. I know a few other people who are going as well. I dunno if I'll play though.

I've been advised that going there = don't drink beer or else you'll dehydrate drastically.

Hence why I've never been.

Hope everybody that goes has a fun, safe time.

This trumps EVERYTHING else on that list, hands down.

I had to shower once in those things last time I was there ('04. Went with a guy I knew from TTM, and we took his parents' RV, so we used it's shower w/ filtration for most of the week.....only slightly smelled of sulfur), and it was just about as miserable as getting heat exhaustion and still having to keep your mask on. UGH!!

Finally, a water supply that doesn't make you want to hurl when you get within 20 feet of the showers.

Didn't they have problems with overshooting/wiping last year?
