I don't think it should be that bad... I will go and see it when it comes out.

It won't be as entertaining as actually PLAYING though...

I hate to agree with a severe a comment as this, but there doesn't seem to be any other way this could turn out.

Hopefully we'll all be pleasently suprised.

I was in high school when 'The Fast and the Furious' was THE coolest thing on the planet. This will be hailed as the replacement for sliced bread at the #1 spot of coolness only to be shot to pieces shortly after. Hollywood being what it is, I can't imagine it being nothing but movie magic and full of factual inaccuracies. I have been told that an Injen sticker actually adds 7-8 HP, a Dye sticker must have the same affect right?

If this thing ever sees the light of day it's going to be horrible. If you really love something and know a lot about it there is no way that Hollywood(or wherever) can do it justice on TV or in the movies. They always make a big deal of dumb things and totally ignore the major factors that enthusiasts associate with the activity. Unless it's a comedy and can use the comedy as an excuse for totally getting paintball wrong, there is no way it will be even remotely good.

loins share of everything

Sorry...I know "lion" was intended...very surprised no one else mentioned it prior! (Look it up if you have to!)

I felt like "Blackballed" was trying to be a paintball version of SNL...it had a couple of minor moments of humor, and lots of F-bombs (I guess some people think that that makes anything funny???). The action scenes were not great, and rather unrealistic...Bobby's first game in the woods, he's moving around like a 60's low budget spy, and eliminates everyone by just sense of hearing, and jumping out blindly from trees at exactly the right time. But that is to be expected when his "comeback team" is a bunch of non-paintball playing loosers (a part of the humor, and the plot line). I think the best part of the movie was the "training" of the new team. Spoof on Karate Kid and the like. I may have even laughed out loud once.

"splat" or "faceful" or what ever that cheap speedball movie was, was fairly corny, and predictable. They tried with the action scenes, but anyone who has played speedball more than a couple of times would be saying "Yeah, right...could never happen." over and over. For those who haven't played, and can overlook low budget cinematography, and cheesey scripts (and acting), it may have cause them to want to give paintball a try.

I hope this one is better. I am skeptical. Hollywood tries to make money (rather than making a great paintball movie, they are likely trying to make a money maker that includes, or is based on paintball), and those making the decisions about what "makes money" are more often than not uninformed about the topic at hand.
