Not at all. If you've ever held an ATS gun, it's the same feel. It feels like plastic the same way a rifle in a composite gun does. Not at all like the SP-8, or even the SP-1 (Which I personally think has a really good feel for a plastic gun).

Is it in any way like the plastic used in the grip of a tac-8?
(only plastic marker I have within garbing distance. )

Yeah, it feels like the same, or similar stuff. The Tac-8 is another good comparison. Although the grip frame is the same-ish as that on the BT-4.

Basically, if you like the look of the MP-7, the feel of a milsim gun and the operation of a Mini, you'll love this thing. Like I said, I demand that any guns I'd buy be quality materials, and the TM-7 passes my test.

I personally dislike the Mini. Too lightweight and small for me. But this one I might give a try...

Same. The Mini shoots great, but feels just *too* small.

I saw in a thread on pbn that the BT rip clip will fit these with a thin adapter plate which brings about the possibility of using a tac cap with it for a nice small signature with the option of changing out to a bigger hopper if necessary (and the hoppers would be compatible with any a-5's or x7's around...)

definitely adding more reasons I'm liking this...
