We have been working closely with Paintball News ( Paintball News - The World's Most Published Paintball Publication. ) and since MCB was going to be the official forums for their site, articles, etc... We're going to try and give back.

Have you ever wanted to see an article of yours in print? Going to a tournament or scenario, either regional or national? Want to write about it?

Articles can be submitted directly to paintball news via the e-mail on their website, and NOW you can also use mcarterbrown.com

Paintball News Field Report

our Field Report submission form. When you submit an article via our submission form, the Paintball News editors will go over your article, edit it if needed, and approve it for publication.

If your article does indeed get approved and printed, not only will paintball news compensate you for your time and effort, but MCB will be giving away free schwag.

I'm currently working on getting MCB branded gear... hats, shirts, lanyards, stickers, etc... And you can choose which one you want, and I'll ship it to you for free as a thank you.

I grew up in NH where paintball news (being printed here) was big. I remember always wanting to write for them. Now I'm going to take advantage of this, and finally make that happen.

I'm hoping you guys will help out too.

Paintball News is a great resource for fields, a calendar of events, and up-to-date paintball news.

But I would love to see more "meat" to it.

Regional and National Reporting from Events (large and small)
Tournament Reporting
Tips and Tricks on Playing Better
Paintball Reviews on Gear (we have something special in mind for this, if you have something you would like reviewed... please PM me... You guys are going to love our reviews)
Pump playing stories
Vintage Gun history, stories
etc, etc...

We've always talked about what we would do to make a publication better and improve it. Now, we have a chance to help improve an already great publication.

It's great to see so much enthusiasm for this! Ideally, we would like to assemble a worldwide network of MCB members who are field reporters for Paintball News.

A quick note:

Before Paintball News will issue the paperwork necessary to apply for a press pass, you must submit materials and have those accepted for publication. While that sounds like a catch22, it is not hard at all to gather the necessary "data" to submit articles or pictures without a press pass. Many of our reporters have been doing that for years without a formal pass.

Submitting is easy and fun. Anyone who has a modicum of talent for journalism (photos are journalism also) may be able to help fund their paintball addiction while informing the paintball world about your experiences and the sport.
